Tonight is The Annual Men Who Cook Amateur Chef Competition Event
September is National Sucide Awareness Month and the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST) having their biggest fundraiser of the year tonight, September 19th, to help them continue the great work that they do.
They help the lives of our community by improving their mental health and wellness and now you can help MHAST out. LOOK OUT, the men are cooking again.
It's the Southern Tier’s 17th Annual Men Who Cook amateur chef competition and public tasting at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Binghamton from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
It shows off the talents of amateur celebrity chefs who will be serving up everything from appetizers to entrees at 23 different tasting stations. You'll also be able to enjoy goodies from Humdingers and some of our best local bakeries. It includes a silent auction, wine pull, raffles and much more.
The categories are Best Tasting, Best Food Presentation, Healthiest, Most Unique, and Best Creative Staging. Most importantly, you get to vote for the coveted People's Choice Award.
The smartest thing that MHAST did was NOT invite me to cook tonight because it's about wellness, not illness and the smartest thing you can do is attend.
Get your tickets here or call (607) 771-8888 extension 336. Tickets will be sold at the door (if available) but don't take a chance and buy them now and they hope to see you tonight.
