If you live with celiac disease or wheat allergies, and have a box of gluten free Cheerios or Honey Nut Cheerios in your pantry, you need to know that a major recall could affect your health.

General Mills has issued a recall of 1.8 million boxes of Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios, saying the cereal is labeled gluten-free but actually contains wheat. According to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness, foods containing wheat can cause illness or severe reactions for people with wheat allergies or celiac disease. Wheat can also cause illness or discomfort for people with gluten intolerance.

The recall affects Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios that were made in July. General Mills says wheat flour was accidentally used in a system that normally processes gluten-free oat flour.

The company says the recall affects boxes labeled with the following codes:
