I am saddened to say that we've received some sad news from The New York Times, Leonard Nimoy, who played the role of Star Trek’s Mr. Spock, for almost 50 years, has passed away.

Nimoy’s wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, told the Times the cause of death was “end stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.” We lost a beloved character and friend, a man who inspired nerds to let it go and be themselves, at 83 years old today.

May you rest in peace, Mr.Spock.
