This TV special first aired on November 26, 1972 and will most likely bring back lots and lots of childhood memories. I remember watching this every Thanksgiving when I was a kid, but completely forgot about it until I was looking for something else and stumbled onto it.

And then I started to watch- and I couldn't stop. I wonder why this isn't shown as a Thanksgiving special on television anymore. I tried to track down a DVD copy of The Thanksgiving That Almost Wasn't, but this is the only place where I could find it and it's lumped in with the Casper Halloween special.
