We're 52 days, or 1 month and 21 days from the official start of football season on September 10th, but who's counting?

Me, that's who. Football season means cooler weather is on the way and I live for fall-like temps.

So, who are the best fans in the NFL? And who are the worst? Well, according to some number crunchers at Emory University, Cowboys fans and Patriots fans are the best of the best.

The researchers say they did their best to remove bias from the equation and rank the fans of all 32 teams, based on cold, hard facts.

Apparently, Cowboys fans top the list because they remain interested and passionate about the team, even when the team isn’t performing well. Next are the New England Patriots, but the study was conducted before deflate-gate, so we're not really sure how that who debacle might have affected things.

As for the worst fans?

Well, Miami Dolphin and Cleveland Browns fans will need to step up their game this season because they're the worst of the worst.

It’s especially bad for the Browns. Their fans finished 32nd out of the league’s 32 teams for a second straight year.
