Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. 98.1 the Hawk is honoring it all month long. Also it's time for a special fundraiser in honor of a friend. It's hard for me to believe that it's been 8 years today (10/3) that we lost a true fighter, Traci Gibson, to Breast Cancer.

Today kicks off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in honor of that, you will notice that the HAWK web site is looking a little more pink than usual.  With the help of UHS, we are taking some time to inform our listeners there are some recent findings that you might find interesting.

A new drug may extend the life of certain breast cancer patients up to 16 months longer.

Traci started Traci's Hope to give "Hope" to others that were going through what she  was going through and it's still going strong today.
