In a world with so much negative and depressing news, it's really nice to hear about people who are selfless and kindhearted. Especially when those people are kids.

In Syracuse, 13-year-old Erin Brynes won a $70,000 SUV in a charity raffle. Then, she stunned the crowd by giving the car to Joseph’s House, a nonprofit home for moms and their kids.

Erin took the $200 she was able to raise by collecting cans and bottles this summer and bought 60 tickets for the annual Joseph’s House raffle. That’s 60 tickets out of 26,000 sold.

When her ticket was announced as the winning ticket, Erin didn't even think twice about what she and her big family (there are eight people in her family) could do with the fully loaded, brand new Chevrolet Tahoe or the money they might get for selling it, Erin took her winning raffle ticket and handed it right to Joseph's House.

Erin says she wasn't expecting to win the prize, but in the back of her head, she'd already planned that is she did, she would give the truck away, no questions asked.
