Story Behind The Song: ‘I Believe’ From George Strait

Most of us have experienced loss in our life.  Perhaps nobody can relate more than George Strait.  George is someone who has experienced a tragic loss in his life as well, having lost his daughter at a young age.  Since that loss, George has remained a very private person, rarely granting interviews or doing meet-and-greets.

George co-wrote his current single with his son Bubba Strait after watching the news coverage of the tragic school massacre in Newtown, Connecticut last December. When George was putting together his 40th studio album, 'Love Is Everything,' he almost didn't include the song.  It was George's wife Norma that convinced George that the song be heard.
