Sheriff’s Week kicks off today and goes through Saturday with a chance for you to get to know the members of our Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s Week is a celebration to honor the significant traditional and contemporary contributions made by the Office of Sheriff in county government and in the statewide criminal justice system. As part of the statewide celebration of Sheriff’s Week, Sheriff David E. Harder and the Broome County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting an Open House on Tuesday September 17th from 4pm-8pm at the Broome County Sheriff’s Office-155 Lt.VanWinkle Drive, Binghamton (right behind Broome Community College, SUNY Broome).

There will be several things in on display including their new command post, armored vehicle, and new patrol vehicles. A tour of the jail will also be available and this event is open to the public.
