It wouldn't be the holidays without the familiar bell ringers of the Salvation Army in front of stores.  In fact, the sound of SA bells has become siminus with holiday in the Southern Tier.

Again, the Salvation Army is looking for help covering the kettles.  Groups or individuals can help man the kettles and help spread some Christmas cheer.  This is one of the charities biggest fundraiser and every year it becomes more and more important.

If you would like to volunteer by yourself or as a group, contact the Binghamton Salvation Army on Washington Street, or call (607) 722-2987.

You can also find out about the 'Angel Tree' program to help a needy child this shopping season.  I try to do this every year as I find it very rewarding to help others in need, especially during the holiday season.  Thanks for your help.
