Growing up in Binghamton, I have some great memories of Bingamton's West side museum, Roberson Museum and Science Center.  Can you believe it is celebrating 60 years?   That's 60 years of the popular 'Home For The Holidays' exhibit, a holiday tradition here in the Southern Tier.

I recall taking many school bus rides to the Roberson Museum but one of my favorite childhood memories was between Thanksgiving and Christmas to see the traditions of how countries outside the US celebrated the holidays.  I guess that's where I received my first taste of culture and appetite for travel.

Every year, the talented Roberson staff adds some eye opening new additions to the popular displays.  Kids and adults alike will love the addition of a scene from the movie 'Frozen,' the biggest animated film of all time.

The Museum is located at 50 Front Street in Binghamton with the Home for the Holidays exhibit open now through January 4th.  It's a great family thing to do this time of the year.
