Owego Remembers Flag Day

There are many almost forgotten traditions in America.  But once again, the Southern Tier, rich in tradition, remembers.  It’s nice that Owego still honors one of the greatest symbols of our freedom, the good ole American flag.

The Flag Day tradition started in in 1908 at the Elks Club.  With today officially being Flag Day, we salute the Owego Elks for remembering our red, white and blue on the anniversary of it’s birth and all it stands for.

Thank you for remembering.
