New York Mets shortstop Wilmer Flores broke down and cried on the field during Wednesday's game after learning that he'd been traded to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Of course, fans and announcers noticed the tears, and fans gave him an ovation.

But good news for Flores, all of his emotional turned out to be for nothing. The deal that would have sent Flores and pitcher Zach Wheeler to the Brewers for outfielder Carlos Gomez fell apart Wednesday night.
