There certainly has been a lot of promotion around the new network series, Nashville.  I saw a clip of it yesterday on Good Morning America and it looks like it will be another winner on ABC.  With Oscar winning Thelma & Louise screenwriter Callie Khouri behind it and the combination of music and a good cast, it may just be the show everyone will be talking about.  Cult favorite, Saturday Night Lights alumni Connie Britton plays a country music superstar named Rayna Jaymes in competition with a younger singer (Hayden Panettiere), who is strong on ruthlessness but light on talent.  Emmy winner, Powers Boothe plays Rayna's father.

Early reviews for Nashville have been strong.  Again, ABC is doing something different from the competition that focuses on the tired CSI formula.  The show's stars fo all the singing and they are even excited about the possiblity of maybe making albums if fans of the show bring the show to the top of the ratings charts.  Nashville airs Wednesday nights at 10pm on ABC-TV.

I've included a sneak peak of the show's trailer.  If you give it a view, let us know your thoughts.
