Every August a list comes out. A list about today's college freshmen that smacks us in the face with the realization that we're officially ancient and it's all thanks to Beloit College in Wisconsin.

Beloit College just released their annual "Mindset List" where they list a bunch of things about college freshmen. This year's freshmen were born in 1996 (could I seriously be old enough to have a kid going into college?!?), so here are some highlights about their mindset:

1. They were just starting kindergarten when 9/11 happened.

2. They never sat glued to Saturday morning cartoon shows but have been hooked on FOX’s Sunday night “Animation Domination.”

2. They've never known life without "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart." He took over the show in 1999, when they were three.

3. The water cooler is no longer the workplace social center; it’s the place to fill your water bottle.

4. They've never known life without the WNBA. That started in 1997.

5. Bill Gates has been the richest man in the U.S. their entire lives.

6. They've never experienced the AIDS crisis. The number of cases of Americans dying from AIDS has been going down their entire lives.

7. They have never used Netscape as a web browser.

8. The Unabomber has always been behind bars.

9. They have no memory of George Stephanopoulos as a senior White House advisor.

10. Everybody has always Loved Raymond.

If you're a glutton for punishment and want to see more of the list, you can do that here.
