When you hear the names 'Mama Mia,' what do you think of?  Is it the ABBA music, the fun spirited movie, or it the long running Broadway play?  The smash musical 'Mama Mia' opens at the Broome County Forum Theater tonight and runs thru Thursday, with shows each night at 7:30pm.

And Binghamton is very excited about the show as ticket sales have been strong.  According to Wikipedia, "over 54 million people have seen the show, which has grossed $2 billion worldwide since its 1999 debut."  The show continues to play on Broadway to sold out crowds and tours all over the world like the show coming to Binghamton this week.

I've seen the Broadway version of 'Mama Mia' and the 2008 movie that starred Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth and I must say, with tunes like Waterloo, Dancing Queen and the title track, how could it not be fun to watch.

Tickets on sale at the Arena and Forum Box Offices in Binghamton and on line.
