Looking For Property to Buy? County Auction Saturday
It's another auction of tax foreclosure properties in Broome County. It's happening tomorrow Saturday, September 17th at the Holiday Inn, 2-8 Hawley Street in Binghamton.
It begins at 10am but auction bidders must register between 8:30 and 10. Please remember to bring your ID. The county will auction off around 80 properties including single and multi-family homes along with vacant lots and more.
According to Real Property Director Dave Hamlin, properties are sold as is. They want you to look over carefully, the property that you are bidding on. It may have code violations that will have to be addressed.
The Broome County Health Department will have information available at the County Auction for review. You can always go here to see properties that have been added and taken out.
You can see the maps of each parcel in the office of the Broome County Real Property Tax Department. It's located on the second floor in the county Office Building, 44 Hawley Street during regular business hours.
