Kristie Rubino Fundraiser at Owego Free Academy

A fundraiser is being held at Owego Free Academy to support the sister of Koren Rubino,  a PE teacher at Owego Free Academy. Koren's sister, Kristie, lost her life to Preeclampsia (HELLP) complications after giving birth to her son, Brody.

Preeclampsia is a condition during pregnancy which results in high blood pressure, higher levels of discomfort, visual disturbance, and high protein in urine. It usually occurs after the 20th week of pregnancy. It can be deadly if left untreated.

The fundraiser will be held Friday, April 26th. A handball tournament starts, with concessions opening, at 4:30, followed by JV Lacrosse and Varsity Lacrosse at 5:30 and 7:30. Admission is free and donations are accepted.
