iphone 5 is released in Southern Tier

Apple must be the happiest company in the world.  Other mobile phone companies release new product without much hoopla, but when Apple released the iphone 5 today, it was the top story of the day. The morning shows, the cable channels, newspapers across the globe, had it as a top story.   In fact, for many months now, they would get free publicity for their new phone.  With the clever tag line of 'the biggest thing to happen to iphone since iphone,' Verizon, AT&T and Sprint in the Southern Tier report brisk sales today.  In fact, some cities around the world had people camping out outside Apple stores for weeks.  Stores in New York and LA were sold out in less than 2 hours.

The new phone is thiner and offers 4G LTE connectivity, improved battery life (always a plus), will run iOS 6, and a faster processor.   There are positives and negatives to the new iphone.  But it's Apple and for all that love their products, today is an important day.  How about you?  Are you or will you consider purchasing the new iphone?
