Did you know that if you’re between 10 and 17-years-old, New York State requires you take a safety course and earn a safety certificate before you’re legally allowed to operate a snowmobile?

If you’re someone who lives for the thrill of exhilaration speeds and loves the natural beauty of the Southern Tier in wintertime, snowmobiling is probably on your list of must do winter activities.

This Saturday, December 20th the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department will be presenting a free safety course on snowmobiling starting at 8am. This event is free and will be offered at the Cortland County Regional Center on Route 13.

Advanced registration for the snowmobiling safety course is required, so please call 607-758-5599.
