It's sad and unfair to the good ones, but usually when a fraternity is making headlines it’s more often than not for a less-than-pleasant reason.

This isn't one of those stories. The brothers of Michigan’s Phi Kappa Psi fraternity are proving that frats can be a powerful, positive force, even when things look don't look good.

Taylor Jannsen, who was going into his junior year at the University of Michigan, was involved in a freak accident that left him partially paralyzed. Taylor is improving, but he's definitely facing a long road.

However, that road will be a big smoother thanks to his fraternity brothers, who rallied with a fundraising campaign to help Taylor and his family pay for ALL the medical expenses.

The frat started with a fundraising goal of $5,000, but get this- they blew past that goal within the first half hour.

The GoFundMe campaign is still active and they've now raised the goal amount to $175,000. To date, they've raised over $150,000. That's so much that will help Taylor in a major way!
