March is Music in Our Schools month.  And there's something sweet happening in Franklin at the Franklin Central School Thursday.  The Jazz Band and High School Band, along with a small group of performances will feature students in a special "Dessert Concert" for 2 performances, with seatings at 5:00pm and 6:30pm.

The concert portion will feature the High School Band and Jazz Bands, grades 7-12.  This special "Dessert Concert" will showcase Franklin students, their dedication to music and will showcase their musical accomplishments.

These bands are really outstanding and has brought a lot of attention to residents of Franklin and beyond.  So good, they recently showcased their talents at Dorney Park.  They've also performed in the state Capitol and at the University of Massachusetts.

The goal is to raise enough funds for a future trip to show off their talents even more.  Additional proceeds from the Franklin Central Dessert Concert will go toward educational experiences, adjudications, and performances.

Tickets are available at the door.  Tickets are as follows:  Adults $5.00, Seniors $4.50 and students $4.00.  Children under school age eat free.  Thursday's concert includes a choice of dessert and beverage.

Come out, support and help the music program at Franklin Central School grow.
