Florida Georgia Line recently compared themselves to legendary country group Alabama. I know HAWK fans have fond memories of Alabama playing the Arena here in Binghamton but Southern Tier fans also love "Cruise" and "Dirt" from FGL.

Brian Kelley tells CMT that "traditional country fans' reaction to their music isn't all that different from the reactions Alabama received in the 70's."

The guys are putting the finishing touches on a new album and although many consider themselves "not country," they say there is enough room for all kinds of sounds in country music.

Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are on the right track, that's for sure.  They are setting sales records all over the country.  They do a ways to go to rank up there with Alabama's success.  The 80's and 90's supergroup have a total of 43 number one records, with sales over 73 million to date.

So what do you think?  Is it fair to say that Florida Georgia Line is like Alabama?
