Family-Friendly Halloween Things-To-Do This Weekend
Halloween is sneaking up on us and if you're looking for some spirited action in the Greater Binghamton area and even within an hour's drive, you're in luck, there is a lot happening.
While there are a number of local taverns and clubs holding their Halloween festivities and costume contests this weekend, I wanted to focus on the family-friendly happenings for the weekend ahead. Here are a few highlights that caught my eye:
- Ghost Stories at Roberson Museum and Science Center, 30 Front Street in Binghamton Saturday morning (October 29) from 9-11 a.m. Attend this spooktacular program dressed in your best Halloween costume. Participate in a haunted mansion tour, enjoy a Halloween sky tour in our digital planetarium and create your own icky sticky science experiment. Halloween fun patch included. To register, call the museum at 607-772-0660 or email Lsacco@roberson.org.
- Halloween Pet Portraits at Creature Comforts, 1250 Front Street, Binghamton, Saturday (October 29) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Bring your pets and family dressed for Halloween for the portrait event to benefit Monica's Heart Greyhound Rescue.
- Halloween Parades - There are quite a few happening this weekend! Click HERE to find out where the parades are this Saturday.
- Halloween Trunk or Treat at the West Family YMCA, Main Street in Johnson City, Saturday (October 29) from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Trunks will be able to arrive at 4:00 to set up and trick or treating will close at 7:30pm. A safe and family-friendly environment for kids and families. Once the "trunk or treating" wraps up, kids can enjoy face painting, and games in the pool and gym.
I'm sure there are a bunch more, family-friendly events and fundraisers with a Halloween theme going on this weekend in the Greater Binghamton area. If I missed one that you know of, please include the information below in the comments section. Have a safe and happy Halloween weekend with your family.
