Endicott’s Free Gusto Festival Celebrates All Things Italian on Friday Evening
Years ago, I lived in Endicott on a quiet street surrounded by pizza shops. Most all of my neighbors were old world Italian including Joe who used to toss me tomatoes over his fence and who would give me Panettone each year for Christmas. Sadly Joe and most of my old Italian neighbors have passed away, but their heritage lives on.
Friday evening, Endicott will pay homage to its Italian-American heritage with the Gusto Festival. Now in its ninth year, the Gusto festival is a celebration of food, music, family and friends.
Admission to the Gusto festival is free and the fun will happen from 5pm-10pm Friday August 22nd. The festival runs from Witherill Street to Odell Avenue, by the Sons of Italy lodge.
You and the kids will enjoy music, activities for the kids and lots and lots of different types of Italian foods.
