Are you hoping to keep that New Year's resolution to shed some pounds but you find you don't have the time or patience to hit the gym? I hear ya.  There are a couple of easy things that might help and really don't take a lot of effort.

According to Redbook magazine, a new study finds that downing a could glasses of water before every meal has been known to help some people lose almost eight pounds over three months.  Experts claim that drinking water fills you up and you are more likely to eat less.  Portion control is a big thing when you are trying to drop your weight number.  And if a little H2O helps with weight loss, it's an easy thing to try.

Another thing to try is to tell people you are trying to lose weight.  The more you vocalize it, the more powerful you become and it keeps you accountable and you are more likely to stick to your goals.

Prevention magazine reminds you to stop eating at night.  I try to never eat past 8pm. When you fast at night, it speeds up metabolism and lowers blood sugar and body weight even if if you don't actually cut any calories. You should eat three meals as close together as possible (and remember the water and portion control).  For example, try a 8am breakfast, a Noon lunch and 5 or 6pm dinner.  Small healthy snacks in between are important too.  Try to do a nighttime fast as long as possible except for that water.

Give these super easy ideas a try and see if it helps you lose weight.  You have nothing to lose... except weight.
