We are just days away from a run that's fun and alive with color. It's the Color Run with the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST) and it's back in Binghamton on Sunday, April 2nd.

It's The Color Run’s sixth anniversary of bringing The Happiest 5k on the Planet to life in over 27 countries, and their fourth visit to Binghamton.

The Color Run has a new theme, making the event different every year. This year it's the Dream World Tour complete with a Foam Zone and a Dream Wall.

With over 3000 participants already signed up, this is going to be a fun-filled weekend in Binghamton but VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED. Every volunteer will get a free shirt. Volunteers are needed for Saturday’s packet pick-up at the DoubleTree and at the event on the SUNY Broome campus on Sunday, April 2.

It's easy to register, go here and click on the VOLUNTEER button. If you want to participate, you can still register and can save $5 off the cost by using coupon code “MHAST”

For the first time ever Color Runners will go through a fog Dream Tunnel. They'll experience the classic Color Zones and a brand new Foam Zone, where they’re surrounded by colored foam or “clouds” as they run through the most colorful dream of all.

The Dream World Tour is filled with awesome upbeat music across the whole course, radiant new colors, giant unicorns and the Dream Wall. It's a new addition to the course where runners spray paint their dreams on the wall to be seen by all.

After crossing the Finish Line, Color Runners enjoy the Finish Festival, where they party with the Runicorn, dance and join in on massive color throws every couple of minutes.

Each volunteer will GET a free shirt from The Color Run. If you want to join the Color Run fun as a participant, you can still register and can save $5 by using coupon code “MHAST". Last year my wife Dawn and my daughters, Riley and Tara participated in the color throw and they hope to see you this year.

Go here to volunteer, look for the "Volunteer Here" box on the left.
