Carrie Underwood is on the road now with her Storyteller Tour and this weekend she takes over a Hawk Weekend with a 3 hour stop, co-hosting Country Countdown USA, Sunday 7-10pm on 98.1 The Hawk!

She described how this show is different from any tour she's done before: "It's not a concert, it's an experience. We tried to create an environment in the arena. It's in the round, so you're IN the show." Is it a stage and you move around, or does the stage rotate? "Yes, all of the above. We have a lot of moving parts to the show. The show flies by, it's so much fun, I get to see more people, and there's a lot more energy coming at me from all directions."

This is also the first tour where Carrie is also a mom. She is bringing her 1-year-old Isaiah on the road, and so they've baby-proofed the bus: "We have magnetic locks on the drawers and doors, because he can pull them open.  We take him out, activities for him to do, is there a zoo nearby, so he's getting me out of my hotel room."  Wouldn't it be cool to get Carrie to play the Arena and introduce little Isaiah to the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park?!  That would be fun!

Carrie took part in "carpool karaoke" on The Late Late Show With James Corden. "He's a fun guy, super-easy to be around, we just went for a drive, rode around town, and went to a boot store, rolled with whatever they had planned, there was so much that people didn't see. They had to condense an hour and a half into that bit, so it was fun."

Speaking of singing in cars, there is a YouTube video of Carrie husband Mike singing a Garth Brooks song, and apparently Garth has seen it! "He was legit singing The River by Garth Brooks, so I filmed him, and posted it, and then Garth Brooks responded! He was like, 'Let's sing together in Nashville.' And I was like, 'You cannot sing with Garth before I do.' When I was ten years old, I met Garth Brooks, and said 'If you ever need someone to sing a duet with, I'm your girl.' So I've been waiting forever. Now my husband who's a hockey player gets to sing with Garth Brooks? I don't think so! I might cry if that happens."

Carrie also has great stories this week about Sam Hunt, Chris Stapleton, Maren Morris, Luke Bryan, and Easton Corbin.
