This is something that my family and I look forward to every summer, it's a chance to get together, enjoy the great Binghamton outdoors and some awesome local music. It's the "Broome Bands Together" Free Concert Summer Series at Otsiningo Park on Tuesday nights through August 14th.

New this year, the festivities will begin with an opening act at 6 p.m. with the headliner performing at 6:30 p.m. It's a chance to see and enjoy a variety of music genres by our local favorites with some out of town surprises too.

Don't forget to bring your lawn chair or a blanket for this alcohol and tobacco free event. Forget to pack something to eat? No problem, you can buy a snack or a hot dog at the concert concession stand.

I usually buy something at the concession stand to support our local economy...It has nothing to do with the fact that I really like to eat food. There are only two dates left tonight and August 14th with a break in between to get ready for Spiediefest.

If you haven't seen Odd Man Out before then tonight's your chance. They are one of my favorite local groups and watching drummer Joe Collins is worth the price of admission, even if it wasn't free.

I hope to see you tonight. and here is the schedule:

July 17th: Brady Goldsmith with headliner Odd Man Out

August 14th: Jorden & the Wombats with headliner Blue Velvet Big Band

It's free to attend and park and it goes from 6 - 8 p.m. To find out more, you can go here or call (607) 778-2193.
