Brantley Gilbert Takes Over a Hawk Sunday Night
He's a newly married man and Sunday night 7-10pm Brantley Gilbert will be introducing you to his new wife Amber when Brantley co-hosts 'CMT Country Countdown USA' with Lon Helton on 98.1 The Hawk.
They went on their honeymoon in the Virgin Islands, returned home to Georgia, and co-hosted the Countdown. So Lon was Brantley's first interview, and he had a lot to say.
Was it a big wedding? "Not really. We got married at our house. For it being a wedding in our hometown, we ended up with 200 guests, 8 groomsmen, and it was a pretty ceremony. She wanted an outside church. They knocked it out and made her dream come true. And making her dream come true was my dream come true."
When we were on your bus week before the wedding, and I noticed you had a wedding ring on, and I asked if you were already married, and you said: "I’m practicing. I was practicing because I’ve had two hands full of rings for years. I made a deal with her, Baby when we get married, that’ll be the only ring on that hand. When you look at that hand, there ain’t no question I’m hers. So I was trying to get used to having only one ring on that hand. Right now what I had to do is take all my rings off, and just wear this one, and now I’m good with it. I don’t notice it, so I think I’ll be ready, I think the right hand is gonna be quite full now!"
