The Binghamton Zoo is celebrating it's 140th season this year and it all starts this weekend!

This weekend all leads up to the grand opening on Saturday, April 18th.

On Friday, the Binghamton Zoo will be at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena for Zoo Night with the Binghamton Senators.  Howard and Ty the Penguin will drop the ceremonial puck at 7:05pm.

The ZooMobile animals will also be there during intermissions!

Also at the zoo, Eggstravaganza will be this Saturday and Sunday. It's an Easter themed event for all, which includes an Easter egg hunt, photos with an Easter bunny, crafts and more!

This event will run from 12 Noon - 3:00pm with the zoo closing at 4pm.

The celebration continues on Saturday, April 11th if you're a member of the Binghamton Zoo. A special Members-Only event happens from 4-6pm.

During this event, a behind the scenes tour will take place with one of their big cats throughout the evening.

The Binghamton Zoo’s Grand Opening is set for April 18th. Congressman Richard Hanna will be at the grand opening for a special ceremony at 10:00am.

After that, the zoo will be open 7 days a week from 10am - 4pm, with the gates closing at 5pm.
