Binghamton Bar Crawl 2013

Today marks the end of the spring semester.  Finals are done and Binghamton University students are getting fired up for the Binghamton Bar Crawl tonight, which is one last hurrah with friends before they say goodbye for the summer.

About a thousand Binghamton University students are expected to descend on State Street for BU’s annual bar crawl and that crawl happens tonight (May 16^th). Students usually start on the Westside and walk or "crawl", to the State Street bars.

Not sure what a “bar crawl” is? A bar crawl is when people go from bar to bar in a small vicinity. Usually they drink so much at the first few bars that by the time they get to the last one they're crawling home.

Portions of Court and State Streets will be closed starting late this afternoon and will remain closed into the night as the streets are flooded with students.

If you’re a BU student or local resident planning to participate in tonight’s bar crawl and you can’t walk home and don’t have a designated driver, do all of us a favor and call a cab. Yeah- it’ll cost you a couple bucks, but that’s nothing when you consider it could save not only your life, but the lives of others right?
