‘Big Gifted Give’ Event to Help Those in Need in Our Community
Saturday February 2nd from 6-9 p.m., is an evening of family entertainment, with performers using their “gifts” to entertain the audience and raise financial support for families and friends in need within our community.
The Chenango Valley School District is once again sponsoring The Big Gifted Give, it's an event that The Dance Connection began in 2006. There will be entertainment, raffle baskets and concessions, with 100% of all proceeds going back to the community.
Cost of admission is only a food or money donation, so don't let that stop you from coming to this awesome event.
Tara and her dance class from Dance Connection will be there with many, many more acts and entertainers participating. I was hoping that they were finally going to let me sing 'Elvira' but they want people to show up....maybe next year.
They aren't letting me sing but there are doing one better......Okay, 98.1 times better as Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns will be performing throughout the evening.
The 2018 Big Gifted Give goes to:
CV Warrior Fund/Families In Need: This program provides support to families in the CV Community throughout the year. This support is given in the way of food, clothing, emergency needs, etc.
Catherine’s Cupboard: Food Pantry located at St. Francis of Assisi Hall in Hillcrest.
This is what they believe: "Whenever we reach out to help anyone in need, we are all blessed. Thank you for being that blessing. It's an evening of family entertainment that helps families in the Southern Tier." I believe that too.
They are still in need of raffle baskets and you can donate baskets as a family, work group or individually. The baskets are Tara's favorite part of any event and they are a HUGE part of of this event's success. Go here to find out where you can donate.
Special thanks to Ann Szymaniak for putting this together and Tara and I hope to see you there, so save the date, Saturday February 2nd from 6-9 p.m. Find out more about the Big Gifted Give here.
