So I was asked over the weekend and it's a question that I've been asked many times. How do I like getting up so early? I really like it....I really do.

I LOVE doing the Hawk Morning Show but it means working early hours. I get up at 3:15 a.m. and I'm at work by 4 a.m. There are many advantages...and only one disadvantage that I can think of.

Here's why I love it:

1) No matter what time of the year it is (Daylight savings or not), it's always dark when I get up and light when I get home.

2) I can get to work in 2 1/2 songs. Later in the day, it can take me 2 songs just to get through the light at 12A by the Chenango Valley High School.

3) My weekend starts earlier than any one else.  Yes, my weekend ends sooner as well, but I'll take the early start any day.

4) People who know my weird hours will call at 3 p.m. (while I 'm napping) and ask, "Did I wake you?"  The truth is that I practice saying "hello" before I answer the phone until it sounds like I've been awake the whole time.

I love working weird hours and wouldn't change it, unless I had too. I just think of 3:15 a.m. as a number and not the middle of the night, so bring on the weird.

I also heard that Donald Trump likes to wake up early too. No commentary, I just thought that was interesting.

The disadvantages: I'm not there when the kids wake up. Although, I'm sure the wife doesn't mind.
