The Binghamton Rumble Ponies season began with fireworks when Tim Tebow hit a three run homer on the first pitch to him. Peter Alonso and Jeff McNeil also added home runs and the Ponies never looked back as they go on to shut out the Portland Sea Dogs, 6-0.

Over 5,000 people were at the game but there will be 10,000 people who said they were at the game and witnessed Tebow's first home run in Double-A ball. The Ponies only hit three or more home runs in a game three times last year and they are off to a fast start this year.

The Ponies look to keep the fireworks going tonight on the first of 15 Fireworks Nights and will feature the music of Kelly Clarkson. First pitch is at 7:05.

The homestand continues this weekend. Saturday is National Beer Day and the Ponies will be celebrating with Budweiser. First pitch is at 3:05.

Wrap up the weekend with Senior Sunday featuring a Pre-game Senior Stroll. If you are 60 or older, you can get a ticket for only $6 and new this year all senior fans can walk laps around the warning track before the game for the first 30 minutes after the gates open.

Sunday is also Family FUNNday and all can run/walk the bases after the game. First pitch is at 2:05. Call 607-722-FUNN (3866) to get your tickets for this or any other game.
