YOUR SAY: What The Southern Tier Thinks Should Go In The Oakdale Mall
In case you hadn't heard, the Matthews family might buy the Oakdale Mall and turn it into a "live, work, wellness and play environment" place. They would also change the name to "Oakdale Commons.
I have to admit that I like the name and the fact that they are trying to revive this historic landmark is a plus. I hadn't heard of any particulars but that didn't stop me from grabbing my Oakdale genie and asking for 3 (plus 2) wishes.
My five Oakdale Commons wishes are in no particular order (except for the first one) are: Chik-Fil-A, Go Kart Track, Indoor Skating Rink, Water Slide, and a second floor with a lot of escalators. As I look back, I think second floor escalators are my second choice.
So I asked you what you would like to see come to the Oakdale Mall...I mean Oakdale Commons. Some surprised me with their anti-Chik-Fil-A comments but that's okay because you are allowed to speak your mind here without me getting upset...unless it's about my daughter.
I think that Donna Rinker is on the right path with her suggestions, in fact, I think we must be related because we seem to think alike. Cheese Cake Factory (AWESOME), Dave and Busters (I'm disappointed I didn't think of that), Golden Corral (Where's Jeff Foxworthy when you need him), Fair Type Food (Donna, you are a genius), and small kiddie rides (who doesn't love kids).
