We don't know how many nice weekends are left this year to do something fun outdoors. So take advantage of this fun family event at the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park this weekend.

It's Enrichment Weekend and you'll have a chance to see and learn about what goes on with the animals that happen every day but isn't seen by the public. This Saturday, September 14th and Sunday, September 15th, you can observe the scents, sounds, cardboard objects and more that stimulate their natural behavior.

Enrichment stations will be set up from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include making enrichment for the zoo animals and your own pets.

Here are the Keeper Talks for this Saturday and Sunday:

11 a.m. Goat
12 p.m. Spotted-necked otter
1:30 p.m. Arctic fox
3 p.m. Black and white ruffed lemur

You can bring enrichment items to donate to the zoo. Go here to see the zookeepers' Enrichment Wish List and to find out more about the Enrichment program.

The weather looks good this weekend with temperatures in the mid 70's, so don't miss out.. The admission booth is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day with the zoo closing at p.m. America's 5th oldest zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
