We've begun a new tradition in my family and the tradition is that for Father's Day, my son gives my husband tickets to a baseball game and we go as a family.

Last year we saw the Phillies and this year found us at the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs where I decided it would probably be best if we opted for lawn seats since our little guy is walking now and constantly on the move. I wasn't sure that he'd be up for sitting in a seat quite yet. And so, we hung out on the grass an in an area prone to foul balls. At one point, a ball came our way and a little kid ran to catch it, but an adult jumped up and swooped in. The boos from the crowd and the shouts from other adults for him to give the ball to the kid fell on deaf ears.

Anyone who’s ever been to a baseball game knows that catching a foul ball isn't easy, You pretty much have to be in the right place at the right time. It's also an unspoken rule that if you're an adult who catches a ball and there's a kid nearby, you hand the ball to the kid. But usually, kids who catch a foul ball don't turn it over to other kids.

Except this kid.

A little boy was at a Miami Marlins game on Father's Day and got his hands on a foul ball, but instead of keeping it for himself, decided to give the ball away to a little girl sitting close to him. The cameras were rolling and caught a touching moment as the little girl flash the biggest smile ever.
