October has arrived, but the Ross Park Zoo remains open for some time to visit with the animals, during their “Fall Fur All” event going on through October 25th

I spoke with the Ross Park Zoo Service manager Rachel Peppard on WNBF’s Binghamton Now on Wednesday about the remainder of the season.

She (Peppard) said due to the COVID-19 Pandemic the annual "Boo at the Zoo" has been cancelled for this year. Peppard said that the event was one of the biggest of the season.

One of the events to come out of the Pandemic is the Ross Park Zoo's "Fall Fur All" which gives visitors a chance to see the animals and enjoy a walk around the Zoo.

Visitors will enjoy some festive Halloween and fall decor around the Zoo.

There will also be a scavenger hunt that adults and children can pick up at the ticket booths, which will take them on an eerie animal adventure through the Zoo, looking for some fun facts and the animals that correspond with them.

Peppard also said with the cooler weather the animals will be more active, so it is the perfect time to come out and enjoy the Ross Park Zoo.

Some of animals visitors will see are the Leopards, the Palace Cats, Red Panda's, Pepperd says they all love the cooler weather.

Ross Park Zoo is now operating on their fall hours which are Thursday through Sunday from 10a to 3pm.
