Dear Garth,
Thanks for not making me look like a liar and welcome back!

In case you are stunned, and it seems you are, that we patiently waited for your return, I'll tell you why we waited. It's quite simple really.

You gave us, the fans, your undivided attention. Remember the time you signed autographs for 23 hours at Fan Fair (CMA Music Fest these days)? Or how you slashed record and ticket prices so we could all afford it?

Remember the stage shows you pulled off and letting us sing at the top of our lungs to you? All the work you put in to doing what you loved and at the same time making us feel happy and special?

What about how, no matter how many people you had met in one day, you could and did recognize us all when met up years later? How you made music that was real, genuine, timeless, and fun?

After all that, how could we not let you go and be a dad for 14 years? We did what you would have done, Garth. We respected your dreams and let you live them, knowing full well you knew in your heart you'd be back.

You gave us a gift and we just reciprocated with the gift of time, Garth. Along the way, you gave us some bonuses to bide the time with, so it's not like we were empty handed. Thank you for those, by the way.

Yes, we waited Garth. We are believers. Just like we believe the music we've been waiting for will be "Garth music."  Here's to many more years of a helluva ride!

Sincerely,
Karen and the Fans
