Glenn’s Words of Wisdom For His Birthday
Well as some know by now, my birthday is on Sunday (11/3) and I'm over 50. I'm getting older and I wish I was saying that I was getting wiser. I may not be getting smarter but this is what I've learned:
That's weird, I don't remember being absent-minded.
If all is not lost, then where is it?
I finally got my head together, now my body is falling apart. One time, I was reaching for the shampoo in the shower and pulled a muscle in my back. Another time, I grabbed a clipboard off a table and couldn't move,
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it. Ironically enough, that doesn't bother me like it did when I was younger.
I'm a Christ follower and as I get another year older, I spend more and more time thinking about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something and then wonder what I'm HERE AFTER.
As many people know, my daughter Tara shares my birthday. She told me how special it is to share a birthday with me and that not everyone is as lucky. It is very special to me too.
I had someone tell me recently that they remember the day that I announced that Tara was born. They couldn't believe that it's been 15 years already.
I also share my birthday with my sister Michelle and my Uncle Dale. If you do the math, then you know how the Pitchers spend Valentine's Day.
