Whitney Point Woman Arrested for Golf Cart Joy-Ride

New York State Police say a Whitney Point woman is now facing a felony charge in connection with a couple people taking a Fire Fox Resort golf cart for a joy ride in July.

27-year year old Amanda McGovern was arrested last week. She and 23-year-old Jordan Preston of the Town of Union are charged with possession of stolen property.

Preston was picked up on September 24. He had been ordered to appear in Town of Maine Court in October.

The Town of Nanticoke golf course’s cart was found in the Town of Maine on July 3.

McGovern is now ordered to appear in Town of Maine Court later this month.
