Have you noticed that doing just about anything seems to cost more these days? Going out to eat, taking the kids somewhere fun, planning a date night, even doing something nice for yourself can make you stop and wonder if you should just stay home.

I hate that feeling. Life is expensive enough without feeling like every little bit of fun has to be crossed off the list, too.

That's one of the reasons you should keep an eye on our Binghamton Seize the Deal store. There are some seriously good deals in there right now, and we're talking about things people around here actually do, like going out to eat, taking the kids somewhere fun, catching a concert, or getting away for a night.

I went through what's available, and if you're trying to stretch your money without sacrificing all the fun and yummy things, here's what caught my eye.

Save on Binghamton Philharmonic Tickets This Fall

If you've been wanting a date night that feels a little more special than dinner and Netflix, there are three Binghamton Philharmonic deals available.

You can get two tickets to Haunted Hollywood for $41, a value of $82. The October 24 concert combines seasonal music with complete classic films accompanied by the orchestra.

You can also get two tickets to Simple Gifts for $41, normally an $82 value. That November 14 performance includes Copland's Appalachian Spring and Beethoven's Mass in C.

And if you don't want to wait that long, two tickets to Passionate Discovery are $32 instead of the $82 value. The September 26 season opener includes music by Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Florence Price.

Save $33 on VIP Admission to Reaper's Revenge

Fall around here just isn't fall without at least one night spent willingly paying somebody to scare the daylights out of you.

A VIP admission ticket to Reaper's Revenge is $66 through Seize the Deal, compared with a listed $99 value. The 2026 attraction includes six haunts, and the VIP ticket is designed to shorten your wait. Just check the restrictions before picking your night because there are several blackout dates.

Take the Kids to Sky Zone for Half the Listed Value

When the kids have approximately 47 times more energy than you do, sending them somewhere they can jump it out sounds pretty good.

Two VIP passes to Sky Zone in Vestal are $25, a listed $50 value. The Vestal indoor park has trampolines, dodgeball, foam pits, and other attractions, and the offer is specifically for the Vestal location.

Ross Park Zoo Deals Can Save Families Money

There are actually two ways to save at Ross Park Zoo.

If you're looking for a single family outing, four general admission tickets plus four drinks are $25, a $50 value. That's four people getting into the zoo with drinks for about the price you could easily spend on one casual family meal these days. The offer is good through December 31, 2026, although it can't be used during special events.

If your family visits more often, take a look at the one year Ross Park Zoo family membership for $39, a $75 value. According to the deal page, the family membership covers two named adults living in the same household and their children or grandchildren under 18.

Get $50 to Spend at the Cider Mill for $25

Okay, this one speaks directly to my fall-loving heart.

You can currently get $50 in food certificates for The Cider Mill in Endicott for $25. They're issued as five $10 certificates, and you can use them for food, including those doughnuts, pies, and baked goods that make a trip to the Cider Mill smell almost as good as it tastes.

Fifty dollars worth of Cider Mill food for $25? This is exactly the kind of math I enjoy!

Southern Tier Restaurant Deals Let You Eat Out for Less

Eating out is one of those things that can be really easy to cut when you're watching the budget, but sometimes you just don't want to cook.

For classic diner food, there's a $25 eVoucher to Christy's Diner in Binghamton for $12.50. Christy's serves breakfast and lunch seven days a week and is also open Friday for dinner.

You can also get a $25 eVoucher to Waterman's Café and Tasting Barn in Apalachin for $12.50. Waterman's serves pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, and weekend brunch, among other options.

In Downtown Binghamton, there's a $50 eVoucher to The River Bistro at the Binghamton DoubleTree for $25. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner and has a children's menu for kids 12 and younger.

If you're up for a drive to Oneonta, $50 at The Depot Restaurant costs $25 through Seize the Deal. The restaurant is inside a century-old train station and serves burgers, sandwiches, entrées, and its signature Garbage Wings.

Also in Oneonta, a $25 eVoucher to The Sugar Beat costs $12.50. You'll find cakes, cupcakes, pastries and other desserts there, along with Caribbean food if you're craving something savory instead.

Save on a Chestnut Inn Getaway Near Binghamton

Sometimes you don't need a plane ticket and a week off. You just need one night away from the laundry, dishes, and everything else staring at you from across the room.

A one night stay at The Chestnut Inn on Oquaga Lake is $150, compared with a listed value of $300. The offer is valid Sunday through Thursday during the 2026 season, based on availability, and the stay has to be completed by December 31.

And it's only a little over 30 minutes from Binghamton, which makes it close enough for an easy getaway without spending half your time getting there.

Play Indoor Golf in Endwell for $5 Per Person

Here's one that could make a really inexpensive night out if you split it among friends.

One hour of golf for up to six people at Fairways Indoor Golf in Endwell is $30 instead of the listed $60 value. If six people go, that's just $5 per person for the hour.

Fairways has indoor golf simulators where you can play courses or work on your game, which also makes this one worth remembering once Southern Tier weather decides outdoor golf season is over.

Save on a Migun Table Massage in Vestal

Doing something for yourself doesn't necessarily have to be expensive either.

A 60 minute Migun table massage at The Quantum Natural Path in Vestal is $15, compared with a listed $60 value. There are health restrictions associated with use of the table, so definitely read the offer details and consult your physician if you have medical concerns before purchasing.

Save Nearly $300 on a Spray On Truck Bed Liner in Binghamton

Not every deal is about entertainment or food. Sometimes the biggest savings are on something you've been meaning to get done anyway.

A Patriot Spray On Bed Liner from J&R Auto Upholstery in Binghamton is $550, compared with a listed value of $849.95. That's $299.95 in savings. There are vehicle restrictions, including requirements involving the condition of the truck bed, so read those details before buying.

Saving Money in the Southern Tier Doesn't Have to Mean Staying Home

When groceries, utilities, gas, and seemingly everything else are taking a bigger bite out of the household budget, the fun stuff is usually the first thing we start cutting.

But maybe it doesn't always have to be.

If you were already planning to take the kids somewhere, grab dinner, enjoy a date night or do something fun with friends, paying $25 for something worth $50 leaves another $25 in your pocket. Do that a few times and suddenly being intentional about where you're spending starts making a noticeable difference.
