The last official holiday of summer and lots of celebrating expected in the Greater Binghamton area.

The Binghamton Mets are rounding out their 2016 season in Binghamton with games thru Labor Day.  You can catch games: Friday September 2nd at 7:05pm, Saturday and Sunday, September 3rd and 4th at 6:30pm and the final game of the season is scheduled for Labor Day- Monday September 5th at 1:05pm, when they retire their popular mascots, Buddy and Ballwinkle.

This would be a good weekend to also hit a city, county or state park as they are open to enjoy!

Here's whats closed on Monday in the Greater Binghamton area in observance of Labor Day:

Banks: Closed.

Financial markets: Closed.

Government offices: City, county, state and federal offices are closed.

Libraries: The main library in downtown Binghamton is closed.

Mail: No mail. Post offices are closed.

Trash collection: City trash pickup will be a day late. Other municipal and private haulers may work on a different schedule.
