Wegman's Food Markets is alerting customers and consumers to a scam that involves a fraudulent Facebook post. It bears the company's name and was discovered when an employee questioned the validity of the post.

The Facebook post shows the image of a Wegmans storefront with a false claim that the company is giving away a free $200 grocery coupon. This giveaway is not affiliated with or supported by Wegmans.

The Wegmans vice president of media relations, Jo Natale said that they are actively working to have the fraudulent post removed from Facebook. They also urge consumers not to click it, share it, or provide any personal information.
