So you've gotten and indulged yourself with Halloween candy.  Now your feeling guilty and want to lose weight but you don't want to work out.  How about taking in a scary movie?

Researchers at Westminster University did a study and found out that a watching a scary movie can actually help you burn calories. They record heart rate, pulse, muscle tensity (that's my word), and more.  They noticed that when you watch fright flicks, that the rush of adrenaline lowers your appetite. They discovered that if you watch about 90 minutes of a scary movie, you'll burn about 113 calories, (ohh, about half a chocolate bar).  The upside is you can scream and grab someone close and lose weight at the same time.  The more you jump out of your seat, the more you lose weight.  It sounds like an aerobic workout fright style.

Here's the top 5: Saw (133 calories), Alien (152), The Exorcist (158 calories), Jaws (161 calories) and finally, herrrrrrrrrres Johnny, The Shining (184).  So instead of grabbing gym equipment, grap some candy corn and enjoy some fat filled candy while feeling guilt free. Plan your next movie night, watch and get lean while you scream.
