Underwear Everywhere!

Today is a really strange "news" day.  A day that only inspector 12 from those old underwear commercials would love! I degress. Not really news, but in the world of 24 hour news cycles, it makes the "news."

Today, I read that a man from Britain had Elvis' tighty whities (reportedly not so white!), worn underneath his white jumpsuit in 1977, up for grabs and reached a bid Saturday of $8000.00.  In case you are wondering, it did not sell as the auction house was looking for $11,000.00.  Gross in so many ways!

Today, Fox "News" reports that three men were arrested after one was allegedly caught with a small primate stuffed in his underwear at an airport in India.  Again, gross in so many ways.  Thankfully, the condition of the loris was "OK, but deteriorating" according to CNN.

My question is "why" in so many ways. Why does this stuff happen and why does it make "news?!!!"
