Top Sports Venues in the Binghamton Area [GALLERY]

This year has been a rough year for sports all across United States and right here in the Binghamton area. In mid March things started to shut down due to the Covid-19 outbreak and that included high school sports and Binghamton Devils hockey here in the Southern Tier.

April was supposed to be the start of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies season. Their season was first delayed a couple of times and then finally canceled all together. And even though Major League Baseball, the NBA, and NHL all resumed play, sports in the Binghamton area are still at a standstill.

Today I learned that the Southern Tier Athletic Conference postponed all high school sports until at least January. By this time of year we would have been a couple of weeks into the high school football season in the Binghamton area.

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association is hoping to push this year's fall sports, including football, to March of 2021. NYPHSAA is hoping to play their winter sports from January 4th through March 13th, and the spring sports from April 5th through June 12th.

All of this started me thinking about the sports venues in the Binghamton area. We have some really nice high school football stadiums, as well as stadiums and arenas where minor league sports and Division 1 collegiate sports play.
