Beware. Scammers are not taking a break during the COVID-19 crisis. If you get a call about receiving your COVID-19 stimulus check, hang up, it's a fake, according to 6ABC

The scammers will tell you that you qualify for $1000 to $14,000 relief money, and as tempting as that sounds, don't fall for it. They may tell you they're calling on behalf of the federal government...they're not. They may also say it's grant money...it's not.

The article states, "There are no grants related to the novel coronavirus for individuals, so that's a sure sign this is a rip-off."
