It’s not for Orange football, basketball or academics.  Syracuse is number one on the Princeton Review list of the top 20 party schools in the nation.

The Princeton Review bases its ranking on study time, Greek life and use of alcohol and drugs.

Syracuse is number 17 for the amount of activity in the fraternities and sororities.

As one may expect, University officials are not exactly celebrating the publication saying in a statement the rating is not “a reflection of our distinctive approach to education.”

Meanwhile, preparations are underway on the Binghamton University campus and surrounding communities for the start of the fall semester.

B.U. says approximately 1,900 freshmen, 1,000 transfer students and 1,600 new graduate students are coming this year.

New and returning students are expected for "move-in day" August 18 and 19 with classes for all 17,900 Binghamton University students beginning Wednesday, August 21.
